Sixteen

Walking through those familiar lanes,
Crazy in her own little world.
She stepped into a world
That defined her.
Three little words
That robbed her innocence away,
Life, Career, Love.

These words that housed her books till now,
Had broken though her tiny world.
Redefining her little empire
Where she was the proclaimed ruler
The proclaimed soldier.
Where choice was never an option
Where silence never had its dawn.

A small transition,
An eager forth step ,
And when turned back,
Her world diminished into nothing.

But here she stands
Long, strong and full of courage.
Ahead lies a horde of aliens
But she is not turning back.

She wants to be innocent again,
Forever charming like a teen,
But sure she does realize, She is
No longer Sixteen.
